These were the first machines produced by Kaypro. They include the "Kaycomp" Machines.

"Before production got under way June 15 ... The first units were shipped under the name of Kaycomp II, but the product has been renamed Kaypro II because of the protests of a Pasadena software manufacturer with the name of K-Comp." (San Diego Evening Times, September 17, 1982)

Machine Changes
| The original Vertical Drive arrangement. Also the contrast knob is on the front. | ||||||||||||||
