News

"Kaypro also announced yesterday the Micro I, which the Solana Beach company said is the "world's smallest desktop computer system." The machine, which has a 12-inch by 12-inch footprint, is targeted for use as a low-cost node in local area networks."
(Craig D. Rose, Staff Writer, "Kaypro finds cost-savings source of chips", Newspaper Clipping might be from the San Diego Union)

"Also up in the air is Kaypro's new Micro 1 computer, a compact unit with a very small "footprint" that was to be aimed in part at the educational market. Marcello said dealers haven't accepted the different-looking machine, and the company so far hasn't made the decision to push sales of it." (Kaypro: Looking for a star performer, clipping from David Kay)

"The company also plans to begin marketing its new Micro 1, a desk-top computer based on the Intel 8088 microprocessor chip that will retail for $899." (LA Times, March 30, 1988)
